A milestone was achieved last week in the last stages of the mammoth 1.500 MW (NJPC) Nathpa Jhakri Power corporation last week, with the completion of the 27.39-km-long tunnel in tribal Kinnaur. It has the distinction of being the longest and largest hydro-power tunnel in the world.
