Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd (KPCL) has cancelled the engineering procurement and construction (EPC) contract with ABB Ltd for implementation of the joint venture Bidadi liquid fuel power project. The project was being upgraded to 700 MW with Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as the fuel. Originally, the project had been planned for 220 MW capacity with naphtha or diesel as feed-stock. The EPC contract was worth about Rs 522 crore for ABB.
