Four environmental groups, a farmers' outfit and a fishermen's organisation have appealed to the chief minister, Mr S M Krishna, to scrap the Tanneerbhavi barge-mounted power project in Mangalore immediately as the State is bound to suffer heavy financial loss year after year due to "ill-conceived" power purchase agreement(PPA) with the company.
