The Lt Governot has demanded a report from the Delhi government on the rising cases of cholera in the Capital, even as Delhi Health Minister Harsh Vardhan maintained that the situation was well under control. Every day at least 25 cases of this endemic disease are being reported from various parts of the Capital and, according to the municipal health department, 760 cases have so far been reported since the onset of summer. In comparison, 345 cases of cholera were reported during the corresponding period last year.
