Environmentally conscious organisations of the country have expressed their serious doubts about legality of the baseline study exercise and parallel environmental impact assessment (EIA) in Kirthar National Park, with reference to proposed gas exploration project.They claimed that since Sindh Law Department had registered its comments and sought clarifications on certain aspects of the gas exploration contract and that Sindh government is yet to sign the same hence any activity including baseline study or EIA in the park tend to be dubious.
