Tucked away in the Western Ghats 90 kms from Mangalore is a tribe that's giving the term empowerment an all new spin. Ignored by the Government and tired of living for years without electricity, the Male Kudis hill tribe of Kodyadi has developed a method of generating its own electricity. The effort is to light up the village without the government's help.
