The government's decision to decrease the prices of liquid fuels is likely to result in a lowering of power tariffs by 50 paise to Re 1 per unit from liquid fuel-based power projects. With the lowering of tariffs, the financial impact on the State Electricity Boards (SEBs) will also decrease.
