Lithuania laments loss of nuclear power station

The people of Visaginas is worried of what will happen once Ignalina, a power station of the same RBMK model as the infamous Chernobyl plant, is shut down. Mistrustful of the Soviet design, the European Commission has made the plant's closure a non-negotiable part of Lithuania's bid to join the European Union.But the locals laments its loss.
