The people of ten Village Development Committees of Pyuthan have eventually come forward to wage a protest campaign as the local hydro electricity power failed to dig out a solution to the problems being discussed for the past three weeks. A press release of the delegation of ten affected VDCs stated that Jhimruk hydroelectricity project has turned fertile rice fields into dry land and the local farmers have become landless in the last four years.
