Environmental groups have warned that a loophole in the contract for the construction of a research nuclear reactor puts Thailand at a disadvantage. They say Clause 6 of the contract has a loophole allowing the contractor, US-based General Atomics (GA), to refuse responsibility for any damage arising from design work for which it is not responsible.
