The Maharashtra Government has sought Rs 1,373 crores and two lakh tonnes of food grains from the Centre as drought relief. Talking to presspersons, the Chief Minister, Sushilkumar Shinde said he had written a letter to the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, seeking Central assistance.
