The Maharashtra Government is aiming at building a capacity of 100 MW of electricity fromwind power generation this financial year. It claimed to have installed a capacity of 25 MW in the State through wind turbine generators during the financial year ended March 31, 1999. The State Government also said it currently ranked number one in the country in this sector.
