The Maharashtra state has targeted a generating capacity of 100 mw of wind power this year. The government has invited corporate bodies to contribute towards power genration in the state with this non polluting renewable sources of energy. The state had implemented a modified wind power policy in March, 1998, to attract more private sector privatisation in the wind energy sector.
