The Maharashtra government would consult the BJP-led government at the Centre, which is a sovereign guarantor for the Dabhol project, before serving the termination notice to the Dabhol Power Company (DPC) for the alleged violation of provisions of the power purchase agreement (PPA) and the non-payment of rebate of Rs 809 crore for misdeclaration and default on the availability of power on January 28 and February 13 this year.
