Malaysia's largest power plant project launched

Malaysia's biggest power plant project costing seven billion ringgit (1.8 billion dollars) was launched Saturday to cater to rising demand, the Bernama news agency reported. It quoted Energy, Communications and Multimedia Minister Leo MOggie as saying that the project was vital as the country's electricity, need was expected to surge to 21,000 megawatt in 2010 from 8,990 at present.
