The Philippines Government said on Wednesday it was droping earlier plans to divert 10,000 tonnes of coconut oil each month this year for use in local power generating plants."That's unsustainable," the Agriculture Secretary, Mr leonardo Montemayor, told a news conference, adding the programme would entail a Government subsidy of one billion pesos because bunker fuel was cheaper than crude coconut oil.
