Indian Chamber of Commerce, Kolkata, in a research paper titled "Services sector: Propelling sustainable double-digit GDP growth", released here recently, has said that the services sector in India, which contributed to 51 per cent of nation's GDP in 2003, needs to grow between 12 per cent and 15 per cent in the future in order to achieve a sustainable double-digit GDP growth. According to ICC, double-digit GDP growth was needed for higher per capita income, sustaining high investment and demand, generating large-scale employment and expanding the physical and social infrastructure.
