Seven of the workers who helped plug the heavy water leak at the second unit of the Madras Atomic Power Station at Kalpakkam on March 26 have been placed in the "removal category"(will not be allowed near radioactive areas in future) by the establishment, following the heavy dosage of radiation which they were subjected to during the operation, workers union representatives have said.
