Merces spring, situated at the far end of the village just below the block housing military camp at Bambolim, in Goa, is one spring which seems to have been lost to residents. The spring is known to have contained rich medicinal properties. People from Merces and parts of St Cruz, Bambolim, Chimbel and Curca, flocked here to bathe in the spring water. But everything came to a standstill when it came to light that the spring water was contaminated.
