Mercury rising in MP

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is reeling under intense heat with the mercury rising to 43 degrees Celsius at the world-renowned tourist destination Khajuraho, Tikamgarh, Khandwa and Datia. Just like last month, this month began with hot weather. During the week, day temperature hovered between 40 and 43 C in most places. Night temperature is also much above normal. Hoshangabad, Gwalior and Shajapur recorded 42 C; Satna, Jabalpur, Guna, Ujjain and Mandla 41 C; Betul and Sagar 40 C. The state capital witnessed slight clouds and the day temperature was 39.6 C, three marks above normal and the minimum was 25.6 C, five notches above normal and the highest minimum recorded this season. The state's commercial capital Indore recorded 39 C.
