A Meridian Resource Corp. Gas well that began leaking last Thursday night and caught fire Friday after it was struck by lighting continued burning Sunday, U.S. Coast Guard officials said. No injuries have been reported as a result of the lightning strike or fire at the well located about two miles southeast of Amelia, Louisiana, in Assumption Parish, Meridian Resource said in a statement.
