The National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned RS 41.40 crore to the Government of Assam for sinking 30,000 shallow tune wells in 18 districts in the first phase under the Rural Infrastructure Development Programme of the Centre for the first time in the country, according to an official statement of the NABARD received at Guwahati today.
