Ministers urge Premier to quit Burma project

UK ministers have taken the unprecedented step of asking Premier Oil to withdraw from its 27 per cent interest in Burma's Yetagun gas project in an attempt to increase pressure on Rangoon's military government. "The continuing presence of reputable companies in Burma is encouraging the regime ther to flout international opinion," said John Battle, Foreign Office minister.
