The Madhya Pradesh department of Energy has tried to justify the scheduled one hour power cut every night across the State on the plea that there has been a sharp drop in the power generation capacity due to low water level in Gandhi Sagar, Pench and other reservoirs as a result of scanty rainfall this year.
