The Maharashtra government today reiterated its stand not to accept the Dabhol Power project in the 'existing form'. While replying to a debate on the governor's address the chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh told the assembly: "We can accept the responsibility of only the phase I of the project. The state don't want phase II". "Now only the Centre's intervention can solve the ongoing crisis. The state is in no position to allow the project" he said.
