In a follow-up to its May 24 notice to the Dabhol Power Corporation (DPC) seeking termination of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), the Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) stopped buying power from DPC on Tuesday. Announcing this decision, Maharashtra Advocate General Goolam Vahanvati told the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) that MSEB would no longer buy power from DPC as it considered the PPA void.
