The Power Finance Corporation (PFC) will provide Rs 2,000 crore to the Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) for modernisation of thermal power stations and construction of new ones. PFC has stipulated that the state government initiate reforms in the power sector and take action in the formation of a state electricity regulatory commission.
