NorthEastern Students Organisation (NESO), a conglomerate of eight students unions representing the region, has cautioned the Centre against its proposal for river-linking of Ganga and Brahmaputra, which, the students forum claims, won't benefit the people of the region. The NESO, held its central executive meeting in Shillong, said the project is another attempt by the Centre to exploit the region's resources without providing any benefit to the people.
