After defeating the cut motions with the help of the SP, BSP and the RJD in the Lok Sabha a few days ago, the government will be introducing the controversial Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage Bill 2010 in the Lower House on Friday, the last day of the Budget Session of Parlia Budget ment.
The government had earlier deferred the bill in the Lok Sabha after realising that it may not be able to pass it due to consolidation of the Opposition parties and the SP, BSP, RJD's opposition to it
After defeating the cut motions with the help of SP, BSP and RJD in the Lok Sabha a few days back, the government will be introducing the controversial Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage Bill 2010 in the Lower House on Friday, the last day of the Budget Session of Parliament.
The minister of state in the PMO Prithviraj Chavan will move for leave to introduce a bill to provide for civil liability for nuclear damage, appointment of claims commissioner, establishment of nuclear damage claims commission and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto, according to a revised list of business of the Lok Sabha for May 7.
