India's nuclear power programme is expected to receive a body blow following a potential threat of uranium shortage. As against a minimum requirement of 400 tonnes of uranium for the ten operating reactors in the country, only 200 tonnes were being supplied by the Uranium corporation of India (UCIL), chief executive of the city-based Nuclear fuel complex (NFC) C Ganguly .
