The international atomic energy seminar, held recently in Mumbai under the auspices of the Department of Atomic Energy, has underlined that nuclear power, a pariah among energy options in the eighties, has come back with a bang in the nineties as an increasingly preferable option for developing countries to have higher living standard and yet prevent a global climate catastrophe.
