NABARD adopts strategies for rural poor

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development framed strategies to benefit the rural poor and to create employment in the region. These include timely and adequate credit to the rural poor, watershed development projects to be sanctioned covering the forest area, transfer of technology to the farmers through Technology Clubs (TTCs), formulation of more Self Help Groups and farmers clubs to strengthen the credit delivery system, minor irrigation, animal husbandry, plantation and horticulture schemes would be encouraged.
