The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development has sanctioned Rs 83.93 crore for system improvement in power sector, irrigation and rural bridge projects in the state under Rural Infrastructural Development Fund. In a statement issued, NABARD chief general manager C R Patnaik said the bank has sanctioned Rs 24.91 crore from the Rural Infrastructural Development Fund -VIII for five projects for system improvement in power sector in Ramanathapuram, Theni, Erode, Kanyakumari and Vellore districts of Tamil Nadu.
