The Progressive Student's Union has criticised the rehabilitation programme of the Narmada Development project. They claimed that the 200,000 families displaced because of the Narmada Development project are yet to receive any aid from state governments. Under the project 3,317 dams are proposed to be constructed in three states, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh which is likely to displace over 400,000 families.
