An integrated national policy on use of land and water resources was suggested by director general of MANAGE, AK Goel here on Wednesday.Inaugurating a three-dy national seminar on 'Pumpset energisation and groundwater resource management' organised by the Central institute for rural electrification (CIRE), Goel said depleting groundwater resources in the country warranted a national policy intervention.Around 240 areas in the country were declared 'ground water dry' and 179 face the prospects of being put in the category, he said.
