After a two year wait, the BSES Andhra Power Ltd has got some reprieve. The ministry of petroleum and natural gas has allotted one million cubic metres per day (MCMD) of natural gas on "fallback basis" to the power project. Though the project requires as allocation on firm basis, the interim arrangement made by the central government will provide some level of comfort to the company to achieve the financial closure and complete the project.
