The Manipur Government is comtemplating creation of a model village along the lines of the Gramin Bank in Bangladesh to assist people living in remote areas of the state. The idea has been mooted to the North Eastern Development Financial Corporation (NEDFi) chairman and managing director J P Saikia when he was here on a recent visit.
