Nepal's cabinet has approved a move to ban pre-1980 vehicles from the streets of the Himalayan kingdom next year to combat growing air pollution, a government official said yesterday. "All vehicles manufactured before 1980 will not be allowed to run in the Kathmandu Valley and other towns of Nepal from November 15 next year," Sherjung Karki, an environment ministry official, told Reuters.
