To facilitate collaborative research in biomedical science which entails exchange of biological materials between laboratories, the expert committee constituted by the Indian Council of Medical Sciences (ICMR), New Delhi, has drafted expanded guidelines. Chairman of the expert committee and scientists emeritus at the National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi Ranjit Roy Choudhury spoke about the guidelines and issues which make them necessary.
