A new surgery for heart patients, who cannot be treated by bypass surgery or angioplasty, has been performed for the first time in India by the Batra Hospital. The technique is percutaneous transluminal myocardial revas-cularisation (PTMR), through which tiny holes in the heart muscle are made, which help in the distribution of blood.
