The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is proposing strict new emissions standards for several types of nonroad engines. The new regulations would slash emissions of hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen oxides from the tailpipes of snowmobiles, all terrain vehicles, yachts and other sources.
