The Tagore Heart Care and Research Centre, Jalandhar, claims to have developed a new surgical technique to save gangrenous limbs. In a unique operation, a team of cardithoracic surgeons used the radial artery from the left arm to bypass the blocked part of the popliteal artery in the patients right leg.
