Conoco has said that there is no risk to the environment after a major explosion at a Humberside refinery. When edie was published, news on the cause and effects of the explosion on 16 April at US petrol giant, Conoco's, Humber refinery at South Killingholme, was not fully available, and the plant, one of the UK's most important oil processing facilities, remained shut. However damage to human health and the environment appears to have been minimal, with only two people slightly hurt by the explosion.
