The India-Canada Environment Facility (ICEF) has approved a grant of Rs 2.1 crore to the West Bengal Renewable Energy Development Agency (WBREDA) for implementation of a renewable energy project in Sagar Island. The funding will be for a Wind-Diesel Hybrid System in Bengal to augment energy supply in an environment friendly way.
