NGOs interested in the development of non-forest wasteland and watershed development no longer need to approach the Department of Wasteland Development in the Ministry of Rural Areas & Employment. According to official sources, the recently revised guidelines stipulate that they will instead have to route their proposals through the Council for Advancement of People's Action and Rural Technology (Capart).
