Norwegian natural gas consortium NaturkraftAS wants to build an 800-megawatt gas-fired power station at Tjeldbergodden, northwest Norway, NRK public radio said yesterday. The company, owned with equally by industrial group NorskHydro , state oil firm Statoil and state power producer Statkraft, earlier this year shelved another gas power plan after authorities imposed strict ceilings on climate gas emissions which weakened the project's profitability. Oil and Energy Minister Marit Arnstad said Norway's centrist coalition was negative to all applications to build gas power plants in Norway.
