Norway okays building of three wind farms

Norway's Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) said on Wednesday it had given state-owned utility Statkraft three separate concessions to build wind farms in western parts of the country.NVE said in a statement that Statkraft's applications to build wind power plants at Smoela, Hitra and Stadlandet had all been accepted. The project will produce a total of around 800 gigawatt hours of renewable energy per year.
