Norway will approve construction on Wednesday of a new gas-fired power plant, putting Norway behind many nations in a drive to curb greenhouse gases, Norwegian media said on Tuesday.The daily Aftenposten and NRK radio said the go-ahead will be given for the new plant in central Norway, and related carbon dioxide (CO2) emission licences, just days after The Hague climate conference collapsed.
