The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) recorded its highest generation at 322.51 million units on Thrusday since it began generating power in 1982. Power generation was affected between April-December because of poor demand by state electricity boards on account of unseasonal rains lowering the demand from the agricultural sector.
