The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has opposed the Finance Ministry's three-pronged proposal for pushing the mega power projects. The proposal featured co-promoting the Reliance-SEAP-promoted 3,960-MW Hirma porject in Orissa, selling power from the project to the States and also buying out the plant in the event of termination of the project.
